The Panabox Spirit Radio is a handheld AM sweep spirit box designed for paranormal investigators seeking real-time spirit communication during field sessions. It is a small, battery-operated pocket radio that has been professionally modified - often referred to within the paranormal community as “hacked” - for investigative use. The device continuously scans the AM radio band without stopping on any single station. The scan rate can be adjusted using the dial in the top right corner.

Unlike a traditional voice recorder, this spirit box continuously scans rapidly changing AM radio frequencies. Many investigators believe these shifting frequencies may provide a medium through which live, back-and-forth spirit communication can become audible responses.
