My Best EVP Ever!

I’ve recorded hundreds of EVPs but my all-time favourite was captured in 2015 in the living room of a secluded home on Gabriola Island B.C. Canada. There were only 4 people in the house at the time; 2 adults seated directly in front of me & a baby sleeping on the second floor. I conducted a short EVP burst session with my Olympus WS-822 digital recorder & was shocked to discover an incredible EVP capture upon playback.

At one point in the recording, where we intentionally left a period of silence to allow time for a response, a clear, strong, kind sounding voice of an older woman was captured stating “I live here too”. There was no doubt as to what was said & the voice was definitely not one of ours.

I couldn’t wait to return home to transfer the file to my laptop for safe keeping but as fate would have it, the recorder slipped out of bag & smashed into pieces on the ferry ride home. I was not able to retrieve the file from my broken recorder but can still hear that once in a lifetime EVP in my mind.
